BLACK SABBATH-DVD REVIEW

A blurb from Anchor Bay/Starz Entertainment about Black Sabbath: Boris Karloff is your host for Bava’s 1963 classic triptych of terror, which set new standards in graphic violence and spellbinding horror.

What I remember about Black Sabbath were the three short stories that made up the movie with especially “The Wundalak” with Boris Karloff. “The Telephone” was pretty good and “A Drop of Water” was very atmospheric and the best of the three. This presentation on this disc is the original uncut International Italian version with English subtitles. Boris Karloff’s voice has also been dubbed in Italian and is not in English at all. Some of the special features on this disc are an audio commentary by film author Tim Lucas as well as the US and International trailers and an interview with Mark Damon from the film with a radio spot and a Poster and Still gallery.
